卡内基写作奖

卡内基写作奖（英语：The Carnegie Medal for Writing），2022年前名为卡内基奖（Carnegie Medal），中文翻译或称卡内基文学奖、卡内基儿童文学奖，是英国文学奖，1936年成立，用于每年颁给杰出的新儿童文学书籍，相当于美国纽伯瑞奖，由特许图书馆和信息专业人员协会（CILIP）颁发[1]。
奖项名称是为了纪念生于苏格兰的美国慈善家安德鲁·卡内基（1835–1919）而命名。他在世上的英语地区建立了超过2800间图书馆，当中至少有一半以上为英国图书馆组织机构[1]。
若想得到卡内基奖获奖资格，书籍必须以英语（原创或翻译后的第一外语）写作，且于上个学年间（9月1日至8月31日）在英国或爱尔兰首次出版；若已在其他国家首次出版，则必须在原始出版日的三个月内，于英国或爱尔兰再合作出版。[2]
获奖者将得到一枚金奖章，与能指定捐赠价值500英镑的书给予任一图书馆。此外，自2016年起获奖者还能得到来自柯林·米尔斯奖（Colin Mears Award）的5000英镑现金奖励。[1][3]
历史
[编辑]1936年，英国图书馆协会（the British Library Association，CILIP前身）为庆祝卡内基的百岁冥诞而设置该奖项，[1][4]1937年颁发给亚瑟·兰塞姆的《鸽子邮差》（Pigeon Post，1936年出版），并确认了两本“受表彰”书籍。第一枚奖章刻有“1936”的日期，但自2007年起，奖章上的日期改为颁发年份为准——在书籍出版的一到两年后。[5]
直到1969年，得奖者的资格都还限制为作品首次出版于英格兰的英国作者，[6]第一个非英国籍得奖者为澳洲作家Ivan Southall，得奖作《Josh》（1972年获奖）。最初的规则还禁止得奖者未来有二次获奖机会，[6]第一位二度获得卡内基奖的作者为彼得·狄金森（Peter Dickinson），1980、1981年分别以《Tulku》及《City of Gold》连续获奖。截至2022年为止共有八人重复获奖。
卡内基奖与凯特·格林威奖最初由英国图书馆协会设立并管理，该协会于 2002 年由特许图书馆和信息专业人员协会接替。[4]2022年，两个奖项分别更名为卡内基写作奖（The Carnegie Medal for Writing）和卡内基插画奖（The Carnegie Medal for Illustration）。[7]
2022至2024年期间，奖项由Yoto音讯科技公司赞助，并称为Yoto卡内基写作奖（Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing）。[8]2025年起，该奖项由学乐出版集团和作者授权与收费协会（Authors' Licensing and Collecting Society，简称ALCS）赞助。[9]
