描写文（英语：description / descriptive writing）是指描写物件或人物的文章。多数是把一件事物或人深度描写。描写或描述是指通过语言生动再现某一场所、物体、个体、群体或其他实体的形象[1]。描写是四种表达方式之一。[2]
描写对象与手法
[编辑]外貌描写：透过描写人物的外貌刻划人物。
- 行动（动作）描写：透过人物的行为和动作的描写，在话语中反映出人物性格透过描写人物的心理活动，反映出人物内心的思想和性格。
直接描写
[编辑]直接描写的作用是从描写对象的正面进行描写，把眼前景物如实写来。
间接描写
[编辑]间接描写是通过其他人物或事件的描绘、叙述或反应，间接烘托主角。
- 正衬法：以描写其他人物或事物的某些特点，衬托主角更出色的同类型特点。例如在三国演义中以华雄连斩数将的武艺来衬托出斩华雄的关羽拥有更高强的武艺。
- 反衬法：以描写其他人物或事物的某些特点，衬托主角更出色的相反特点。例如在东施效颦以东施的丑衬托出西施的美。
