The planet Neptune is marked on the star map with a cross together with is its astronomical symbol. The ecliptic and some important right ascension and declination lines are also shown on the star map. As right ascension and declination of this map refer to the epoch 1846, the shown right acension and declination lines differ from the corresponding lines used on nearly all modern star maps. |
