卡瓦莱斯缆车事故
军机撞毁卡瓦莱斯缆车事故发生于1998年2月3日意大利多洛米蒂山。一架美国海军陆战队（驻意大利阿维亚诺空军基地）EA-6战机因违规过低飞行，撞断登山索道，䌫车坠落造成20人死亡。[1][2]飞机师引渡回美国受审，非故意误杀（involuntary manslaughter）和过失致死罪（negligent homicide）无罪，[3][4]但因为蓄意毁坏军机的影片摄像证据，被判妨碍司法公正罪、军官操守失职（conduct unbecoming an officer）。[5]
事件经过
[编辑]1998年2月3日，一架美国海军陆战队第2战术电子战中队的EA-6B徘徊者式电子战飞机（机身编号163045），呼号Easy 01，正在进行低空训练任务，于当地时间15时13分撞上了卡瓦莱斯缆车的缆线。当时，该机正以470节（每小时870公里）的速度，在狭窄的山谷中以80至100米的高度飞行。[6]
该飞机于大约46°17′01″N 11°28′02″E / 46.2837°N 11.4672°E的位置，右翼从下方撞击了缆线而切断缆线，导致载有20人的缆车车厢坠落超过80米，无人幸存。飞机的机翼和尾部受损，但仍能够返回阿维亚诺空军基地。 [7][8]
