威尔士党（Plaid Cymru – The Party of Wales[a]）是威尔士的一个左翼民族主义政党，旨在争取威尔士独立及以成员国身份加入欧盟[11]，并信奉社会民主主义及公民民族主义。
简介
[编辑]该党成立于1925年，前身为威尔士民族党（Plaid Genedlaethol Cymru），并于1966年卡马森选区补选赢取首个下议院席位[12]。
目前，威尔士党在英国下议院的32个威尔士席位中占有4个席位（12.5%），在威尔士议会的60个席位中占有12个席位（20%）[13]，并有200名地方议会议员（占16.4%）[14]，包括具有3个地方议会的绝对多数。
自1999年以来，威尔士党在大部分时间都是威尔士的反对党；在2007年至2011年期间，该党与威尔士工党筹组联合政府，曾经短暂执政[15]。
党纲
[编辑]据其党章[16]，威尔士党的目标为：
- 以支持在欧盟内实践独立为方式推动威尔士的宪制发展；
- 以去中心化的社会主义为根基确保经济发展、社会正义、和环境健康；
- 以建立一个基于平等公民权、尊重不同文化和传统、和人人不论种族、国籍、性别、性取向、信仰、年龄、能力、和社会背景的国民社会。
- 以推广威尔士语建立双语社会；
- 支持威尔士在世界层面的贡献和成为联合国会员国。
