《英勇赞曲》（英语：Soorarai Pottru）是一部2020年印度泰米尔语剧情片，由苏达·康加拉执导并与夏里妮·乌莎·奈尔（Shalini Usha Nair）共同编剧。本片由2D娱乐的苏利耶与乔蒂卡以及锡克亚娱乐的葛妮·蒙卡共同制作，主演阵容包括苏利耶、阿帕娜·巴拉木拉里及帕莱什·拉瓦尔，莫汉·巴布、乌沃瓦什和凯纳斯则担任配角。本片灵感源自印度廉价航空公司德干航空创办人G·R·戈皮纳特的人生故事，正如他在回忆录《只想飞翔：德干奥德赛》（Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey）中的描述。

剧情
[编辑]奈杜玛拉·“玛拉”·拉詹甘是前印度空军飞行员，梦想创办一家廉价航空公司，并崇拜白手起家的捷思航空（Jaz Airlines）老板巴里什·戈斯华米。“邦米”孙黛莉是个热情的女孩，打算开一间自己的烘培坊，与家人在一日拜访了玛拉，以物色玛拉作为其伴侣。玛拉被邦米的性格所打动，愿意娶她。玛拉告诉她，自己从小叛逆，与父亲的关系紧张且充满争议。玛拉加入了印度空军且表现出色，但因性格叛逆，经常受到上司奈都先生的“关照”。当父亲临终时，玛拉试图预订回家的航班，但没有足够的钱，即使尝试向机场的几名旅客借钱，但没人愿意伸出援手。当他只能选择长途搭车时，发现父亲已经去世，来不及见最后一面。这段经历激发了玛拉创办廉价航空公司的野心。但邦米拒绝了他，称自己与玛拉已嫁给了各自的野心。
玛拉为了梦想而拜访奈都，请求退伍军人贷款，但遭拒绝。玛拉故意与巴里什乘坐同一班航班，得以向对方建议共同创办一家廉价航空公司。巴里什却认为穷人不应该与富人一起搭机，并羞辱了玛拉。一家创投公司的负责人普拉卡什·巴布无意中听到了玛拉与巴里什的谈话，让玛拉向公司董事会解释其商业计划。与此同时，玛拉和邦米开始频繁地见面并最终结婚。玛拉计划从PlaneAm租赁波音飞机，PlaneAm已同意以低价出租给他。在资金获得批准后，玛拉试图与民航总局（DGCA）官员会面以获取许可证，但被无视。随后，玛拉会见了印度总统，请求协助取得许可证。
巴里什得知玛拉的计划后感到恼火，而利用自己的权力通过了一项法律，要求波音公司提交在印度领空飞行的航空公司蓝图。PlaneAm取消租赁并要求缴纳罚金。玛拉请普拉卡什借钱给他罚款，但遭拒绝。普拉卡什透露，巴里什其实是自己公司的合伙人，与巴里什合谋击落玛拉，而捷思航空已收购了PlaneAm原租给玛拉的飞机。愤怒的玛拉冲进巴里什的办公室，但被警卫拦住。失利的玛拉变得脾气暴躁，与邦米争吵，但最后道歉。玛拉想到可利用较小的飞机，并与涡轮螺旋桨飞机制造商达成协议，将货机改成客机使用。巴里什担心玛拉可能会影响自己的生意，决定亲自处理这件事。同时，玛拉老家的全村都尽其所能地捐款帮助他。玛拉计划利用巴里什废弃的小机场来营运，并将自己公司命名为德干航空，在火车站和加油站出售机票。退役空军飞行员被他聘用来驾驶飞机，邦米则负责机上的餐饮服务。
飞机交付当天，巴里什利用自己的影响力限制飞机在清奈降落，迫使飞机因燃油不足迫降在塔姆巴拉姆空军基地。奈都传唤玛拉解释紧急降落的原因，并仅以罚款让他离开。德干航空的首航也遭遇不顺；因螺旋桨起火而被迫中止起飞。巴里什贿赂机长以对飞机动手脚，机长在调查小组面前承认了自己的错误。著名商人维马尔·巴莱亚提出收购德干航空，但玛拉拒绝。巴里什开始抹黑德干航空，但玛拉向外界保证，自家航班实惠且安全。但在正式营运开始当天，玛拉等不到乘客办理登机手续。当玛拉正要放弃时，被告知因程式出错导致玛拉身处的这趟航班的机票都被取消，而所有其他航班都已被预订完毕。玛拉眼里含着幸福的泪水，看着其他航班降落，老家的村民下飞机与他相见，其中包括玛拉的母亲。巴里什致电玛拉以提出合作；玛拉果断拒绝，并声称农民成功搭上了飞机，今后都能继续如此，巴里什不再独占天空。
在片尾字幕中，印度民航部长将巴里什传唤到德里，谴责对方破坏德干航空的首航，并威胁关闭捷思航空。在洗手间里，巴里什因感到焦虑而试图吃药，一名清洁工帮忙捡起掉到地板的药丸，才让巴里什对低收入群体产生了尊重。

2009年末，苏达·康加拉根据德干航空创办人兼企业家G·R·戈皮纳特的回忆录《只想飞翔：德干奥德赛》（Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey）构思了一部电影。她对该主题进行了十多年的大量研究。[4][5]苏达在《拳击少女和爆疯大叔》（2016年）发行后遇见了苏利耶，并向对方朗读了半完成的剧本；苏利耶印象深刻，两人在完成各自的手头上的项目后开始了本片的工作。苏利耶选择制作本片是因为希望没有人干涉预算或改变任何桥段。[5][6]锡克亚娱乐的葛妮·蒙卡也同意参与制作[7]，成为该公司的第一部泰米尔语电影作品[8]。
本项目于2018年4月正式公布，暂定名称为《苏利耶38》（Suriya 38）[9]。电影的前期制作工作始于2018年6月[10]。尼基斯·波米莱迪担任摄影指导[11]，萨迪什·苏利亚任职剪辑师，杰基则担任美术指导[11][12]。苏达证实本片并非戈皮纳特的传记片，而是受到他人生事件的启发[13]。苏达为将真实事件融入电影而改写了手稿和剧本[14]。2019年4月13日，正式片名《英勇赞曲》（Soorarai Pottru）以海报形式揭晓[15][16]，以苏布拉马尼亚·巴拉蒂一首诗中的一句来命名[17]。
选角
[编辑]苏利耶饰演奈杜玛拉·“玛拉”·拉詹甘（Nedumaaran "Maara" Rajangam），在片中是有着广大理想的马杜赖人，大致改编自G·R·戈皮纳特的人生经历[19]。他称该角“易怒，但知道如何与妻子、朋友和其他人相处……即使在生气时，他也能想到为什么某些人会从不同的角度看待问题”。苏达在拍摄前既定了这些元素，以使表演看起来一致。[18]苏利耶很少为角色改变体态[20][21][22]；他为了角色年轻时期的结实体格而减重了近20公斤[23]。
阿帕娜·巴拉木拉里签约担任女主角[24][25]。她的角色孙黛莉（Sundari）是以戈皮纳特之妻巴尔加维（Bhargavi）为原型[26][27]。阿帕娜也为本片学习了马杜赖方言[25]。2019年6月，托莱坞演员莫汉·巴布签约演出[28]。当他接洽时，立即接受了自己在片中的角色，并亲自配音[29]。《英勇赞曲》也是阿朱南的儿子伊兰（Ilan）与女儿伊亚（Iyal）的演艺处女作[30]。
宝莱坞演员帕莱什·拉瓦尔饰演反派巴里什·戈斯华米（Paresh Goswami），成为他的泰米尔电影首作[31][32]。巴里什一角以捷特航空CEO纳雷什·戈亚尔为原型[33]。丹·达诺亚出演了小角色维马尔·巴莱亚（Vimal Balaiyya），该角的灵感源自印度商人维杰·马尔雅[34]。演员谢赫·迈丁（Sheik Maideen）与印度前总统阿卜杜尔·卡拉姆长得很像，所以在片中饰演受卡拉姆启发的印度总统；他在本片挂名为“乌杜马莱·卡拉姆”（Udumalai Kalam）。[35]迈丁的声音由纳文·穆拉利达尔（Naveen Muralidhar）配音[36]。马德哈万担任了电影片尾的旁白[37]。
拍摄
[编辑]电影的主要拍摄始于2019年4月7日[38]。第一拍摄计划2019年4月16日在泰米尔纳德邦完成[39][40]。2019年4月23日，第二拍摄行程表在昌迪加尔展开，并于6月6日结束[41][42]。电影在专门打造的场景拍摄，包含由杰基设计的机舱及飞机外部[43]。摄影指导尼基斯·波米莱迪表示，片中的大部分内容是在封闭的室内拍摄，所以剧组在主要拍摄过程中使用手持摄影机[44][45]。
第三拍摄行程于2019年6月14日开始，拍摄莫汉·巴布和帕莱什·拉瓦尔的戏份[46]。拉瓦尔的戏份在接下来的一个月中完成。同样在7月，剧组前往海德拉巴拍摄主线镜头。[47]剧组于8月进行了为期一个月的拍摄，此期间一些重要镜头取自马杜赖及周边地点[48]。这趟行程象征着苏利耶继《先祖之子》（2003）之后重返马杜赖拍片。此期间，苏利耶组织了一次与粉丝见面会，其中约800名粉丝在拍摄期间见到了他。[49]随后返回清奈，并在清奈国际机场附近的地方建造了一座建筑物，以隐藏跑道[50][1]。
除一些小场面外，本片的杀青于2019年9月27日[51]。拍摄结束后，苏利耶向剧组成员赠送了金币[52][53]。剧组在展开拼凑拍摄的行程后，不得不租用一架真正的飞机；制片人为此每天支付了470万卢比的租金[54][55]。整部片在60个工作天内完成[56]。
后期制作
[编辑]电影的后期制作在拍摄结束后不久展开，但在3月因COVID-19疫情而一度暂停[57]。在泰米尔纳德邦政府授予许可后，后制团队于2020年5月恢复工作，前提是成员遵守COVID-19规范[58]。6月初，中央电影认证委员会授予无剪辑的本片“U证书”[59][60]。审查委员会报告于8月发布；电影的最终长度为153分钟，片中的暴力言语已被静音。[61][62]之后又被缩短至149分钟[63]。电影的删减片段于2021年2月19日由制片公司透过YouTube释出，恰逢电影上映的第100天[64]。
音乐
[编辑]G·V·普拉卡什·库马负责谱写本片的配乐和歌曲；2019年4月，电影开拍前，普拉卡什·库马与泰库丹大桥乐团合作录制了一首歌曲，作为电影中的摇滚歌曲。[65]歌手黛[66]、森迪尔·甘尼许[67]和内在灵魂乐团主唱哈里什·西瓦拉马克里希南[68]也为该专辑做出了贡献。普拉卡什·库马于2019年10月谱写了电影的背景音乐[69][70]。接下来的一个月，普拉卡什·库马宣布苏利耶将演唱电影主题音乐的饶舌版本——《玛拉主题曲》（Maara Theme）[71]。该歌曲于2020年1月24日发表[72]。原声专辑2020年7月24日由索尼音乐印度发行[73]。

[编辑]《英勇赞曲》原定2020年年中在院线上映，但因后制工作悬而未决且受COVID-19疫情影响而推迟[74][75]。同年5月1日，苏利耶在社群媒体上表示，本片将计划在院线上映[76]。2020年8月22日，逢象神节[77]，苏利耶宣布本片2020年10月30日将在Amazon Prime Video上采串流发行[78]，院线发行计划被取消[11][79]。他表示，自家制片公司2D娱乐还有八到十个项目需要制作，受到疫情影响而面临财务困难，所以做出此决定；更补充，自己是以制片人而非演员的身份做决定，加上必须保护旗下案子及剧组人员。[79]苏利耶在接受《赫芬顿邮报》采访时称：“我选择了OTT路线，所以能够维持那些案子人员的所有家庭，我现在所看到的是这张支票拯救了这些家庭。”[80]
直接串流发行的公告让许多想要在影院观看《英勇赞曲》的苏利耶粉丝感到失望，要求他重新考虑此决定[81]。苏利耶在同一流媒体上发行电影《公主降临》（2020年）时也面临类似的争议；《公主降临》成为疫情期间第一部以数位方式发行的泰米尔语电影，苏利耶的决定遭到了戏院老板及放映商的反对。[82][83]导演哈利写信给苏利耶，要求他重新考虑以数位方式发行电影的决定，而巴拉蒂拉贾则为苏利耶辩护并支持此决定，称这是针对当前情况的正确举措[84]。2D娱乐的执行制片人拉伊塞卡·潘迪安（Rajasekar Pandian）表示，本片将在200个国家透过流媒体首映[85]。苏利耶进一步宣布，将从电影利润中拿出5000万卢比捐赠给电影业工作者，还有为控制疫情做出必要努力的一线人员[86][79]。
电影上映前一周，即2020年10月21日，苏利耶宣布，因未能及时获得印度空军的无异议证书（NOC），本片再次延期[87][88][89]。制片方宣布新的上映日为2020年11月12日，即排灯节前夕[90]。《英勇赞曲》以泰米尔语、泰卢固语、马拉雅拉姆语和卡纳达语发布；泰卢固语版本的标题为《天空即边疆》（Aakasam Nee Haddhu Ra）[91][92]，萨蒂亚德夫为苏利耶的角色配音[93]。名为《飞天》（Udaan）的印地语配音版于2021年4月4日推出[94]。
宣传
[编辑]作为本片宣传策略的一部分，制片公司宣布将与印度廉价航空公司香料航空合作，该航空公司的董事长阿杰·辛格于2020年2月13日推出了宣传电影的波音737飞机，机上贴有《英勇赞曲》的海报[95]。《英勇赞曲》的幕后制作纪录片于2020年4月14日泰米尔新年发布[96][97]。
在电影上映之前，片方在尽可能高的高度发射了一颗贴著特殊海报的巨大高空气球[98]。该海报在海拔一万米的地方发射，上头有着超过一万名粉丝的签名，这项史无前例的促销活动在社群媒体平台及网络上疯传[99]。电影上映前还推出了推特表情符号[100]。
院线重新上映
[编辑]印度戏院原本因泰米尔纳德邦COVID-19病例激增而关闭，《英勇赞曲》计划2021年8月23日在印度院线重新上映，届时戏院获准恢复运营[101]。此决定是在电影2021年2月在清奈沙迪亚姆电影院为清奈国际影展放映后所计划[102]。2D娱乐原计划以免费发行的方式放映本片，所得利润将交给戏院所有者[103]。当泰米尔纳德邦剧院业主协会（Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association，TNTOA）决定不放映最初透过串流发行的电影时，该计划被放弃[104]。到了2021年12月，苏利耶的粉丝宣布，《英勇赞曲》2021年12月中旬至2022年1月将在喀拉拉邦各地的戏院重新上映[105][106]。鉴于喀拉拉邦的反响，2022年2月4日，片方恢复了在泰米尔纳德邦的部分戏院重新上映的决定[107][108]。

反之，舒布拉·古普塔在为《印度快报》的撰稿中则将本片评为2／5，称：“每当剧本需要创造取悦粉丝的时刻，《英勇赞曲》就会被高分贝的通俗剧所毁。鉴于苏利耶的超高人气，此类诱惑始终存在，而本片也经常屈服于此。”[122]

[编辑]《英勇赞曲》受选为第78届金球奖最佳外语片类别的十部印度电影之列[123][124]。2021年1月26日，本片的执行制片人拉伊塞卡·潘迪安（Rajasekar Pandian）宣布《英勇赞曲》将报名第93届奥斯卡金像奖[125]，以争取最佳男主角、最佳女主角、最佳导演、最佳原创配乐等奖项[126]。他也表示，电影艺术与科学学院的成员可以在学院放映室看片并进行投票及提名[127]。尽管本片也在符合提名资格的366部电影之中[128]，但未能在投票过程中进入最终入围名单[129]。《英勇赞曲》登上清奈国际影展放映[130]，也入围上海国际影展全景单元（Panorama Section）[131]。本片在墨尔本印度影展获得两项大奖，即最佳影片和最佳男主角（苏利耶）[132][133]。而在第10届南印度国际电影奖上的14项提名中，本片最终赢得七座奖项[134][135]。《英勇赞曲》在第68届印度国家电影奖上荣获五项大奖：最佳故事片、最佳男主角（苏利耶）、最佳女主角（阿帕娜）、最佳剧本（苏达和奈尔）及最佳配乐（普拉卡什·库马）[136][137]。
