涉事機型為龐巴迪CRJ900LR,由龐巴迪公司設計並製造[11]。該機型最大航程為1,784英里(2,871公里),最大空速為515英里每小時(829公里每小時),共有70座和76座兩種座椅布局。該機型曾涉及到兩次重大事故[12]但從未有人員傷亡[13]

涉事飛機註冊號為N932XJ,機齡15.6年[14]。該航班於北美中部標準時間2025年2月17日11點34分起飛,比計畫晚點1個小時4分鐘。在北美東部標準時間14點13分降落時失事[15]

事故經過

客機於美東時間14時13分在多倫多皮爾遜國際機場23號跑道頭墜毀。客機的垂直穩定器英語Vertical stabilizer與一個機翼分離並起火[16],機身稍微偏離跑道右側,上下顛倒,朝向與著陸時相反的方向[17][18]。某旅客在飛機上發布的一條影片顯示,機上人員正在從顛倒的飛機中撤離[19]

另一條來自某待出港客機的影片顯示,4819號航班降落時猛地撞到地面,彈起並向右捲動向前滑行。飛機的右翼被折斷,然後機身翻倒,機身冒出火焰[20]。其他影片顯示,涉事飛機右翼缺失,垂尾撕裂[16]。濃煙從機身冒出[21]

飛航安全專家表示,空服員和機身設計在事故中就保障旅客相對安全起了重要作用。網上分享的影片顯示,空服員正在努力迅速疏散機上所有人[22]

救援部門表示事件造成21人受傷[19][23][24],傷員或背部扭傷,或頭部撕裂傷,或吸入航空燃料煙霧而感到噁心[25]。其中,一名兒童和60歲男子和40歲女子情況危急[26][27],但不至威脅生命[28]。三名傷員通過空中救護車送醫[29]。後據達美航空稱,21名傷員已全部出院,最後一人於20日出院[23]

後續

機場暫停全部航班起降至下午5時[30][19]蒙特婁-杜魯道國際機場渥太華麥克唐納-卡蒂埃國際機場約翰·卡爾·芒羅漢彌爾頓國際機場等在事後陸續接收備降航班[31][32][33]。達美航空向每位旅客賠款30,000美元並補充說該賠償「沒有附加任何條件」,不會影響他們未來的合法權利[34]

初步報告

根據加拿大運輸安全委員會英語Transportation Safety Board of Canada(TSB)於3月20日發布的初步報告[35],導致事故的主要原因是飛機在著陸時下降率過高,超出了起落架的設計承受能力,最終導致飛機翻覆。報告指出,在飛機觸地前2.6秒,飛機的快速下降觸發了地面迫近警告系統,駕駛艙內發出了「下降率過高」的警報。[36][37]。當時,飛機在強風和陣風條件下進場,觸地前的空速為136節(252公里/小時;157英里/小時),下降率為每分鐘1,100英尺(340米/分鐘)。這一下降率低於建議的著陸速度(VRef)144節(267公里/小時;166英里/小時),但遠超出起落架設計吸收衝擊的極限值,即每分鐘720英尺(220米/分鐘)。當飛機的右主起落架與跑道接觸時,起落架的一部分斷裂,導致起落架收回,右翼在起落架和機身之間斷裂。機翼斷裂導致機上6,000磅的噴射燃料噴出,引發了火災和爆炸。所有80名乘客和機組人員都奇蹟般地倖存,但21人受傷,其中2人重傷。由於駕駛艙門卡住,機師被迫從駕駛艙頂部的緊急出口逃生。儘管初步報告確認了起落架故障導致機翼斷裂和燃料洩漏,進而引發了這次嚴重的事故,但事故的確切原因和起落架斷裂的具體順序仍在調查中。TSB表示,對可能原因的正式確定可能需要長達600天[38][39]

Following this initial impact, parts of the aircraft separated and a fire ensued. As you can see here, the fuselage came to rest slightly off the right side of the runway, upside down, facing the other direction. Other duties we'll be conducting here on site are examining the wreckage, examining the runway. We've already removed the cockpit voice recorder, the flight data recorder, and we've sent them to our Lab for further analysis. However, we will share more information once we're able to.
