2028年美国总统选举将于2028年11月7日星期二举行[1]，此次选举是美国第61届总统选举，选举第48任美国总统。同时众议院全部435个席位及参议院其中33个议席也将进行改选，以产生第120届美国国会。各州选民将选出选举人，由选举人团投票选举确认新一届美国总统与副总统当选人。第45、47任总统唐纳德·特朗普因已赢得2016年和2024年两届总统任期，依据美国宪法第二十二修正案规定，不得竞选第三任期，惟特朗普仍然表示有意参选（详见下方#唐纳德·特朗普一节）。

共和党候选人特朗普和万斯于2024年击败民主党候选人卡玛拉·哈里斯和蒂姆·沃尔兹，于2025年1月20日宣誓就职。特朗普曾于2016年当选总统，但在2020年连任竞选输给了乔·拜登。共和党亦赢得了参议院的多数地位并保住了众议院的多数地位，再次完全执政[2][3]。

现任美国总统唐纳德·特朗普已当选两届。根据美国宪法第二十二修正案，特朗普被禁止连任第三任期。尽管如此，他还是多次表示要寻求第三任期，且有如斯蒂芬·班农等部分保守派人士鼓励他继续连任[4]。 据《政客》杂志所指，特朗普为了再次参选，可能会尝试各种未经检验的法律理论和漏洞，而其结果最终将取决于美国最高法院的裁决[5]。
